EMDR Intensives can be helpful for a variety of individuals including those who struggle with anxiety and phobias, depression, trauma, grief and loss, chronic pain, eating disorders, and self-esteem.
Reasons for scheduling or desiring EMDR intensives include challenges with scheduling weekly therapy sessions and a need for immediate relief and rapid treatment.
Intensives are a different approach to EMDR and allow for growth to occur at an increased pace. Some individuals may schedule a few sessions per week while they are visiting the area. At this time Mary-Lynn Swanson, LICSW, is conducting the intensives at the Cape Cod office located at 38 Route 134, Unit 2, in South Dennis, MA.
She is in the process of recruiting other Massachusetts EMDR Intensives providers to meet the growing demand for this much needed service.
